EDI ISENDS Specification
The Intermediary system enablement or disablement message is amulti-functional message designed specifically for insuranceintermediary systems administration allowing trading agreementsbetween insurance companies and their agents (intermediaries)for insurer products to be initially authorised andconsequently controlled by the insurer. This encompasses theenabling (or disabling) of separately identifiable softwaredriven business functions (new business, mid-term adjustment,renewal etc.) and thus administering the authorisation forpoint of sale usage for the individual components of thefunction. Associated ranges of numbers for insurer products canbe initially allocated and maintained via the use of thismessage.
