Filters – Setting to Have No Default Filter

A default filter is the filter that the Transaction Filter screen will open set to if no filter was specified on opening the screen. Having a default filter can be a handy thing, but once one is set, users may want to adjust and have no default filter at all. Below is the method using the Transaction Filters tab of EDI HQ.

Setting a filter using the right-click menu:
Confirmation of this setting change:
If you want to change a filter’s settings open Filter Properties:
To release the filter from being the default filter, toggle the checkmark in the checkbox:
Note that in this instance, because the filter chosen is a built-in filter, editing the name and description is not possible. However, if it was a user-created filter, these fields would be available for editing.

Once the checkmark has been removed from the checkbox, click Save:
There is no longer a default filter:
