John Deere Legal Entity Change – Supplier EDI Billing Update

January 10, 2018

John Deere is changing the Legal Entity of their Mexican division of “Industrias John Deere” requiring supplier EDI billing updates.

The update includes a split and transformation in the corporate name and requires supplier EDI billing updates by February 1st, 2018.

The existing legal entity of the affected John Deere Mexican Division is “INDUSTRIAS JOHN DEERE S.A. DE C.V.”. This entity will split into 3 new divisions with new corporate names, tax codes etc for each name. Suppliers to John Deere will need to update the company name information in their system to reflect these new changes and ensure proper billing, collections and tax processes.

Here is all the new information you need to update:

INDUSTRIAS JOHN DEERE, S. DE R.L. DE C.V.

  • Tax Code: IJD840224QD2
  • Entity that will continue dedicated to the manufacture of agricultural machinery, components and spare parts (change its company name).

JOHN DEERE SALES HISPANOAMERICA, S. DE R.L. DE C.V.

  • Tax Code: JDS171005JG8
  • Entity dedicated to the commercialization of our products and spare parts to our distributors network in Mexico and Latin America.

JOHN DEERE SHARED SERVICES MEXICO, S. DE R.L. DE C.V.

  • Tax Code: JDS171005A79
  • Entity that will provide services to other John Deere entities.

All invoices need to reflect the changes above and be in line with the legal entities by February 1st, 2018. These updates are essential for correct billing, receipt, payment processes and compliance with Mexican tax regulations.

Billing must match with the new company name stipulated in the purchase order.  Each purchase order indicates the fiscal data to be invoiced, and these may vary from one purchase order to another, according to the legal entity that makes the request or requirement.

John Deere will be providing virtual training for the duration of January 2018 to explain all changes and clarify any doubts and expectations.
