Tip - Using Split Screen in View EDI Data to Your Advantage

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

Use split screen capability to maximize your troubleshooting process.

If you haven’t used it yet, you really should try using the split screen function in the View EDI Data window to help you maximize your time when investigating errors. Let’s say you are receive an Inbound PO and it has EDI errors in it. When you are viewing the EDI Data window and have selected that transaction, you will see all the tabs, including the Error tab that shows its text in red.

You would have to click back and forth between the Errors tab and the EDI Data tab in this instance. Well, with a simple click of the mouse, drag, and release, you are able to show these two tabs side by side as shown in this example. And the great thing about this is that by highlighting the error on the right, it will highlight the segment in question.

If you would like to learn more about how this can work for you, contact 1 EDI Source and speak to a knowledgeable EDI Consultant.
