There are many benefits for upgrading to EDI/HQ. For one, the reporting has been vastly expanded. The dashboard is a feature which will give you a bird’s eye view of your entire EDI system. The dashboard is customizable; you can add and remove widgets as you feel necessary. A widget is just a customizable object on the dashboard that shows you specific information. You have the ability to add a pie chart to the dashboard which will show you how many transactions per trading partner exist in EDI/HQ.
The widgets you add to your dashboard will help you keep everything in a nice neat format. Everything will be in one place which makes it easier to search for certain items. You can see which transactions are rejected or are currently in error. Another filter is the Transactions by Trading Partner. This filter will show you how many inbound and outbound transactions are in EDI/HQ. A widget for the dashboard can be tied to a custom filter.
A custom filter would be something particular you may be looking for on a daily basis. For example, if you would like to see how many PO’s you receive each day from just Target, you can setup a filter for only Target PO’s and incorporate it in widgets on your dashboard. Upon opening EDI/HQ, you will be able to see the number of Target PO’s that have been received.
You can also put reports on your dashboard, such as the Functional Acknowledgement Report, that can then be viewed directly from links on the dashboard. These reports will come in handy when trying to troubleshoot transactions that may not be acknowledged by a Trading Partner or transactions that have EDI errors or missing data.
When it comes time to upgrade to EDI/HQ, we have a migration utility that makes the transition from EDI Complete to EDI/HQ seamless. With this utility, we are able to run a test migration on our side before doing so on your machine. This will allow us to determine an estimate of how long the migration will take. The utility gives a report, which compares all the data in EDI Complete to what was migrated to EDI/HQ.
Migrating from EDI Complete to EDI/HQ is a painless transition with many benefits. If you would like to see a demo of EDI/HQ, please contact your sales rep to setup a demo.
