Enhancement to Saks Fifth Avenue's 850 mapping - effective August 24, 2011

Monday, August 08, 2011

Hi everyone,

I am pleased to inform you that we are adding a new segment, the Hang/ Flat indicator in the SAC segment, to our 850 mapping. As of August 24, 2011 this new SAC segment will be included on all PO transmissions. Please see the attached 850 mapping with the new SAC segment highlighted. The mapping will be posted shortly to our website: https://www.saksincorporated.com/vendorrelations/sfaevendors.asp .

Saks Fifth Avenue has a long standing practice of separating out hanging and flat merchandise onto distinct Purchase Orders. As such, Saks Fifth Avenue expects our vendors to insert the correct Saks standard hanger into all product placed on a Hanging PO. Merchandise placed on a Flat PO needs no hangers. While the merchants will continue to communicate this in market, we believe that adding this field to the electronic Purchase Order transmission will facilitate compliance.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s hanger standards remain the same. However, if you have any hanger and/or shipment preparation questions please contact Anthony Loria, Vendor Relations Manager, at 212-549-1348. For EDI technical questions please contact Rohan Fenton at 212-549-1351.
