You know you are supposed to change the batteries in your smoke detector when the time changes in the spring and fall, but when was the last time you upgraded your EDI/HQ to a new version?
Several times a year, 1 EDI Source releases a new version of the EDI/HQ software. These releases include new features that are based on our clients’ and our consultants’ suggestions. Our development department also analyzes current features to make those components more functional and easier to use, along with creating new ones to make your job easier.
And did you know EDI/HQ version upgrades are free?!
What features have been added since your last upgrade? Many features have been added this year, but some of the numerous items you will find in recent releases are a revised inbound map designer with drag and drop functionality, an EDI Contains search widget on the dashboard and the ability to open job logs from the Last X Session widget. For our healthcare clients, you will enjoy a new feature that encrypts ‘data at rest’ helping you with HIPAA and PCI compliance.
Now you are probably thinking what exactly do these features do and will they help me?
The revised inbound map designer allows you to view the EDI data and the potential output in the same screen in which you are mapping. It also gives you the functionality to click on a piece of data and drag it directly to the map. Lastly, the EDI loops are now part of the mapping which eliminates the need for nested maps.
The EDI Contains search widget on the dashboard allows you to search through all of your EDI data for a certain piece of data - like a last name, or ship to location - directly from the dashboard. In the past, you would need to go into the transaction filter in order to use this feature. Now it is on the dashboard to save you time!
Another feature that is now on dashboard is the Job Log clickable icon. In the Last X Sessions widget, beside each session is an icon that you can click on to see the job log for that session.
And, for those of you who have sensitive data and need to keep that data secure, we offer encryption for ‘data at rest’. This keeps data encrypted so only users that you grant access to will be able to see the data that is being held within EDI/HQ. If you handle healthcare transactions or deal with Social Security Numbers, credit cards numbers, etc., then this feature is definitely something you should look into in order to keep your data as secure as possible.
So, what is holding you back? Give us a call and get the newest version of EDI/HQ!
