Usually, you want to know if you see a duplicate transaction key error because it may prevent duplication of a transaction. For instance, you most likely would not want an 850 PO with the same PO Number going through your system without warning.
Sometimes though, with transactions that may occur several times, turning off the duplicate transkey checking can be desirable. For instance, on the 855 PO Acknowledgment, you may want to consider turning off the duplicate transkey check. A purchase order can generate several acknowledgments, say when the order is originally placed and scheduled, or when a ship date is changed. In the case of multi-line orders, different items may generate a PO acknowledgment, as that item becomes available. Each of these acknowledgments should flow through to your trading partner as each one usually has changed data.
