Is EDI HQ™an upgrade to EDI Complete Server? EDI/HQ™ is a new product developed from the ground up as an addition to 1 EDI Source, Inc.’s suite of products. While many of EDI Complete’s features are expressed in EDI HQ™, the product was not designed to displace EDI Complete. An analogous example would be the relationship between Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. While they share many common features, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 is not considered an upgrade to Microsoft Windows Vista. Since EDI HQ™is 1 EDI Source, Inc.’s newest product, does this mean that EDI Complete Server will no longer be supported? Absolutely not! EDI Complete Server is a staple product of 1 EDI Source, Inc. It services literally thousands of clients and will continue to be maintained (including updates / EDI standards) and supported for the foreseeable future. I own EDI Complete Server and would like to migrate to EDI/HQ. Is there a way to port my existing system to EDI/HQ? We understand that there do exist EDI Complete clients that will find the EDI HQ™feature set more aptly suited for their organizations. To facilitate a transition between the two products, our development team is working on a migration utility that will transfer the settings for as many corresponding features as possible from EDI Complete to EDI/HQ. When finished, the migration utility will provide a solid foundation upon which to configure EDI/HQ.
