Life Cycle of a Purchase Order
Did you know with some simple filtering you can see the entire life cycle of a purchase order in EDI Complete?
From the View EDI Data window, click filter. Select a trading partner and in the EDI Data Contains field enter the purchase order number. Click set filter and EDI Complete will show you the Purchase Order (850), Purchase Order Change (860), Advance Ship Notice (856), Invoice (810), and any other documents linked to that Purchase Order in one window.
EDI Complete makes it extremely easy to see, in detail, the history and life cycle of a single purchase order.
Unable to find an operator?
Use the "All" view of the operators. All operators will be listed in alphabetical order.
Uses for extract from delimited list operator.
"Extract from delimited list" can be used multiple times on a single piece of data. The most common use of the "extract from delimited list" operator is to extract a single field from a list of fields:
1243,abcd,12930-zzzzz,word,data
In some cases a field may have two pieces of information in a single field. Field 3 in our sample is an example of this (12930-zzzzz). The first operator would be extract (3) from delimited list where a (,) is the delimiter. You will now have 12930-zzzzz extracted from the list of data. You can use extract from delimited list again to extract the 1st or 2nd value. If you want the value zzzzz value use the operator extract (2) from delimited list where (-) is the delimiter.
