Tips & Tricks - AS2 Complete Getting a Little Wordy?

AS2 Complete has the ability to send you an email after every transmission, however to avoid an overload of email communications we suggest setting AS2 Complete to email only when an issue arises.

To do this: After you establish your partnership in AS2 Complete, configure your AS2 System to only email you when a problem or discrepancy occurs by accessing the partnership maintenance screen. From the Partnership Maintenance screen fill in the Failure Notification Email under the Inbound and Outbound tabs. Leave the Success Confirmation Email blank.

Tips and Tricks - An overlooked report is the 850 Reconciliation Report.
This report will help you ensure that for every purchase order (850) you receive, you have sent back an invoice (810) and an Advance Ship Notice (856). You can schedule this report to run each night so you can review the status of all your orders in the system and make sure your trading partners were sent 810's and 856's in a timely fashion.

Tips & Tricks - If you try to import an outbound transaction Set with a unique identifier that isn’t known to the system, an error message will be written to Errors.txt. We suggest that you configure a process to automatically email this file to you whenever it exists. That way you will know right away if there are any transaction sets that the system couldn’t process.

Tips & Tricks - Did you ever want to make sure your AS2 system was up and running? Simply copy your Public URL from the AS2 Complete Preferences window into your favorite web browser. Your AS2 Complete system should respond with the message, “AS2 Complete Connection Test Successful.”
This test will let you and your partner know the system is configured properly and ready to receive data. We recommend you try this from a computer not on your corporate network for the most reliable results.
