Veterans Canteen Service Connection Updates
n order to improve accuracy and increase efficiencies in our supply chain, Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) will be implementing a new merchandising and financial system. This transition will require changing how and what we transmit through EDI. To facilitate this transition, VCS has engaged Direct EDI, Inc. to assist in the implementation. As a current Trading Partner receiving orders from VCS through EDI, we are informing you of a change to our process.
- On Tuesday, June, 15, 2010, VCS will begin sending and receiving data using only Direct Connect Method AS2 or SFTP via Direct EDI Network. In an effort to make this transition as transparent as possible, you or your VAN/Network Providers are being instructed to contact Direct EDI and establish a direct connection via AS2 or SFTP and redirect all VCS EDI traffic by Friday, July, 30, 2010 . If you have any internal procedures that will be affected by this change, please make them in accordance with this date.
- To ensure we have the necessary and most current EDI addressing information for your company, please follow this Link www.directedi.com/vcsmigration to an EDI Connection Form. After submitting, please contact Direct EDI customer support via phone at (858) 751-2626 X 2 or email at support@directedi.com to establish Direct Connection and/or obtain further assistance. To help prevent any material interruptions in service, it is essential that you redirect all VCS EDI traffic no later than Friday, July 30, 2010.
Please note that during the migration, VCS will have two ISA ID’s:
Qualifier ID
ZZ : VAFSCVCSP (Curent Communication ID expires July 30th 2010)
ZZ : DEDIFSCVCSP (New Communication ID effective June 15th 2010)
